Today we read an excerpt from The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano.  Everyone also completed an active reading and review guide.  

Next, students completed a reflection assignment (see example in the photo below); students had different reflection tasks and could work alone or with a partner.  Those who finished early began working on an individual reflection and analysis assignment we’ll complete in class on Monday.

Please continue working on NoRedInk and over the weekend–30 minutes total (15 for each) should be a target time frame for you.  You may also want to check out this short but interesting article from the New Georgia Encyclopedia on Equiano’s connection to Georgia.

Homework:  Complete Writer’s Notebook 5 if you did not do so earlier in the week on Wednesday.
